Anita Mills was sitting in the doctor's Office, with his mother diabetic in Lexington Kentucky, in 2009.
"The doctor he was talking about options and she wanted to try to stay alive, says Mills." I realized brave how she, tried to keep his life. I was killing myself and 382 books. ?
She was crying in the bathroom of the doctor's Office, returned home and took a photo of herself. (Image above). He was a first day of the rest of his life.
"I was finally ready and determined." Taking the first image was my way of making me this choice to start this trip, says Mills. "I wanted to do on my phone to look at every day, especially when I was not a great day.".
Mills has been overweight for so long that she can remember. She remembers opting "", at the age of 5 years and weighing 200 pounds in junior high.
"My family doctor said I had to get off the weight, and if I did not, I was going to shorten my life," says Mills. "He gave me a piece of paper with four tips to lose weight."

It before the Epiphany, kept this piece of paper in her purse for months even when it would change purses. And each time, she would look at and think that "I will start tomorrow."
Tomorrow came on 17 August 2009. After the alignment this photo, Mills entered his bag in hand and removed the advice that the doctor had given him:
1. 8 Ounces of food eating every 3 hours
2. No sugary drinks
3. Don't skip meals
4. Do not tell anyone what you're doing
This is what she did - or did not do, really. Almost two years later, Mills dropped books 232 of his body and has trimmed its size to 26 inches (size 6).
And it did without a trainer.
"I've always walked, does anything it has been difficult," says Mills. "So I used Richard Simmons ' sweating to the Oldies"because it is low impact."." "Now I Zumba, who is like Richard Simmons on speed".
It longing with its training sessions. It travels approximately five times per week, sweats to Simmons, twice a week and enlists Zumba when she can.
Mills can not eat even a 8 full ounces of food more - his stomach received small - and it must be very picky about what she eats. His body aspires "good food", so she listens to it. Its most recent cravings were pineapple, fresh and mandarins.
Do not think that it is either a saint. She still loves temptations... to a reasonable extent.
"I always go out to eat and I eat even rotting, says Mills." My guilty pleasure for the last 8 months has been free fatty Breyers ice cream - cup half of the night. ?
When it comes out to eat, she orders a meal - all that she wants - and asks a takeout box. It helps to eat portions of healthy food, even if it is the heart on his favourite meal: fried chicken fingers and chips fried deep.
"Out of sight, out of mind," says Mills. "I get sick more than eating too much." You just know the part control. I am responsible for what I put in my body.
The most difficult thing for plants growing through its trays.
"I would lose [weight] for approximately seven days and then nothing for about 10-15 days, which has been the most difficult," she said.
But since the defeat of the hundreds of books, Mills appeared on the "Rachael Ray Show" for a cure of rejuvenation and talks regularly in schools.
"I tell the children that this does not mean only weight loss;" If you put your mind to what, nothing can stop you, "says Mills." "If you think,"This is what I do", you can get anything done."
Mills gives his credit his support family, including her husband, Charlie, whom she has been married to since nearly 25 years.
She remembers that he said, "I loved her 382 and I like it now." I love him anything. It may seem a little different, but it is the same girl. ?
Family, they are all live healthier lives and hitting each books. But most importantly, Mills wants to be around to take care of her husband, the son of 23 and 19 years and older parents for as it can.
And she loves every minute of his life hectic, thinner.
"The only thing I can do that I could not before is that I can cross my legs and get off top and bottom of the floor," says Mills.
She is trying new things she never thought were possible. She and her husband are in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and jump on a zip line. Mills is also thinking of parachuting in the future. Another thing on it to do: ride roller coaster at Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, that it was not about to make since that she had 8 years because of its size.
"I have a whole new life," says Mills. "It's fabulous get to this point."
