NEW YORK - a representative for Mary Tyler Moore said the star of the sitcom veteran is "recovering well" after surgery to remove a benign tumor on the lining of her brain.
Spokesperson Erica Tarin said Moore will not require no additional treatment after the four-hour procedure. Tarin would specify not when the transaction occurred or when.
The procedure was to remove a Meningioma (meh - NIN "- jee - OH"-muh), a tumor to slow growth in the membranes covering the brain. Méningeomes usually occurs in older adults and are often benign.
Moore of 74 years acquired a reputation as a housekeeper Laura Petrie on "The Dick Van Dyke" show in the 1960s, and then was even more successful in his own sitcom of long duration.
