Hospital Tuscaloosa AIDS more than 600 victims twister (AP)

Boston hospital conducts 2nd full transplantation (AP)

BOSTON - doctors at a hospital made Boston second full transplant of the nation, less than a month after the first.

A team of more than 30 physicians, nurses and other members of staff at Brigham and women's Hospital has worked for more than 14 hours the week last to replace the entire region of the face of 30 years Mitch Hunter, Speedway, Ind.

The lead surgeon, Dr. Bohdan Pomahac, said the procedure went smoothly and they expect Hunter to have a successful recovery and a new life.

Last month, a worker from the construction of Texas received a new face to the hospital. On the face of a dozen transplants were conducted in the world, in the United States, France, Spain and China.

First transplant of face to the world, a partial file, was France in 2005 on a woman mauled by his dog. The nation first, also a partial, was at the Cleveland Clinic in 2008.
