Colo. woman accused of faking cancer gets prison

GOLDEN, Colorado - a woman suburb of Denver who cheated of the family and friends of nearly $ 60,000 in donations will spend 90 days in prison.


Ann Crall, of Highlands Ranch, was sentenced Thursday in gold. After serving time in prison, she will face 10 years of probation under intensive surveillance of the ruse of false cancer four years which began in 2005.


The authorities say that 31-year-old has deceived her husband, a former police officer, and his colleagues and their church so that she could pay for his habit of prescription drugs.


KMGH-TV in Denver reported that one of the victims of the Crall, J.J. Beattie, was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in the brain itself and Crall asked him for pain medications. Beattie, said that crall is a parody of people who have actually cancer.


Crall apologized in court, calling his actions "folly."
